Development Update For January 26, 2018
Happy New Year from all of us at SuiteDash HQ! With a new year comes new features and updates, and we are excited for all of our customers to get their hands on what we have recently released. First up is the first phase of our Zapier integration, which means SuiteDash can now be integrated with other 3rd party software and tools via the Zapier network. We are also introducing the new Intranet functionality, which works similar to Pages but is geared towards internal staff members.
Details can be found below, and we also have some updates regarding upcoming SuiteDash features, both in the long and short-term. More info below:
First up in the latest update is the newly added Zapier integration. With this new functionality, SuiteDash is now part of the Zapier app network, and you can now setup “Zaps” within Zapier that tie into SuiteDash. Specifically, the first version of this integration includes triggers and actions for the SuiteDash functions Add Company, Add Contact, Add Project, and Add Task. Each of those items are available as “triggers” and “actions” within Zapier, meaning the data can be coming into SuiteDash or going out, just depending on your needs. The Zapier integration is live now for all customers, so you can start setting up custom Zaps right away!
Another new feature added recently is the Intranet feature. This functionality operates similarly to the existing Pages, but where Pages are Client facing, Intranet is geared towards internal staff members. You can create Intranet Pages using the built-in visual editor, and assign them to one or more internal users in your environment (including Admins, Managers, Teammates, and Salespersons). Alternatively, instead of creating embedded pages, you can add direct hyperlinks instead. Each user will see their assigned Intranet Pages and links automatically in their top-level navigation menu, and they will be able to access and view them from there. Intranet is up now for all customers, so give it a look and let us know your thoughts!
Very soon we are adding the capability for assigning “Secondary Clients” to Projects, which will allow for more than one Client user to be assigned to a single Project, including being able to view Tasks, upload files, and leave comments. More details on this and other features coming soon!
Over The Horizon
Looking further ahead, we are continuing development on our new UI and theme, with the aim being to improve the overall client-facing experiencing of SuiteDash as a whole, as well as providing mobile responsiveness. We are very excited about the coming additions, and we hope to be able to share more details in the near future!
