SuiteDash Development Update – Branded Environments

Features Update For January 21, 2016

Advantages of Online SaaS Software Portals

It’s a big day for us here at SuiteDash, and for all of our current and future customers! We have just recently added two big functionalities, and we really think that our customers are going to greatly enjoy them, and be able to get a lot of use out of these features. Most importantly, these new features will also further increase the value you are getting out of your SuiteDash license, which is always a good thing! The first big addition is phase one of our “Branded Environment” features, coming in the form of our new Customize Theme settings. Secondly, we have now introduced “clickable rows” in all tables and grids throughout SuiteDash! More details for each below:

Customize Theme

First up in this update is the new Customize Theme settings. With this new functionality, our customers will be able to fully customize the menu colors, text colors, buttons, and logo of their SuiteDash environment. This essentially allows you to “rebrand” your dashboard with your own company logo and color scheme, and these changes will be visible to all of your users in your installation, including your clients. Each individual item has it’s own adjustable color picker setting, so customers can adjust and tweak each element separately to fit their needs. Additionally, an image uploader is provided, along with guidelines for image width and height, for uploading your own logo for use in the dashboard. And if you make a mistake, the quick Reset function allows you to return any individual setting back to normal with a simple click. The Customize Theme feature is now available to all Plus, Aspire, and Elite license level holders right now!

Clickable Rows

Second on the list of major additions with this update is Clickable Rows. While a simple idea in theory, Clickable Rows is incredibly powerful in practice. Essentially, every row/item in every table and grid within your SuiteDash installation is now clickable, and clicking the row triggers a specific action. For example, clicking on a Project row when viewing your list of Projects will automatically take you to the Manage page for that Project. Clicking on an invoice in the Billing table will automatically open the View page for that invoice. Clicking on a task in your MyTasks table will automatically open the View side-pane for that task. No more using the Options dropdown to access the most common functions for each table, now you simply have to click anywhere in the desired row. Clickable Rows have been implemented throughout SuiteDash, for all license levels, so we highly recommend you start clicking! It’s oddly satisfying.

Short-Term Horizon

Coming in the near future are a duet of features that will be useful in keeping track of actions and events in your SuiteDash installation. First, we have the Live Stream, which is in the final stages of development and testing now. The Live Stream will allow a user (such as an Admin, Project Manager, etc) to view everything that is happening in the installation that relates to them. If a user creates a new Contact, or edits a Company’s information, or schedules a new Action in CRM, the Admin will see these actions as items in their Live Stream, and they will be able to quickly see A) who is responsible for the change, and B) easily click to jump to the corresponding portion of the dashboard for more details. The Live Stream will track actions from throughout the installation, from estimates and invoices in Billing, to tasks and projects in Planning, and more.

Speaking of Planning, another big feature that is right around the corner is the Calendar. The Calendar will allow users to see all of their assigned tasks (or all tasks, in the case of Admins and Managers), arranged by due date on an interactive Calendar. Clicking on a particular task will allow the user to view details, and also edit the task fields. Additionally, drag-n-drop functionality will allow you to easily change the due date of a particular task simply by dragging it to the new due date on the Calendar.

Over The Horizon

Further along in our road map, we have some large features coming for SuiteDash. Chief among these is the addition of Email Marketing functionality, which is currently in active development. This feature-set will allow you to create, schedule, send, and manage email campaigns and subscriber lists, right from inside your SuiteDash installation. We have a lot of experience with email marketing tools, and we are putting every bit of that knowledge into the development of this feature.

We can’t wait to show you all what else is coming in the future for SuiteDash. Be sure to keep an eye on us in the coming weeks for more updates!

Thanks,

Team SuiteDash
