What I Believe

We are not building for the enterprise. By choice.

Most software companies start with small businesses and slowly drift upmarket because enterprise contracts pay better. We do the opposite. We are building for the small and medium business owner, the operator, the agency, the consultant, the firm with five to fifty people who needs a real platform but cannot stomach a six-figure annual contract or an army of implementation consultants. We will never abandon that audience. The day we add an “Enterprise” tier with a request-a-quote button is the day we have lost the plot.

We invented the unlimited pricing model

Because our target audience is small and medium business, we knew that our platform and our business model would need to be intentionally designed so the platform could remain affordable for small businesses. That is why we invented the unlimited pricing model. While other software companies were charging by the seat and punishing businesses for growth and scaling, we designed a business model that offered businesses a way to organize, streamline, and optimize their processes for the long term without having to worry about a dramatic increase in cost as they scaled.

Community-driven, not roadmap-driven

Most SaaS companies build what their product team thinks is interesting and then market it to whoever will buy. We do the opposite. The SuiteDash roadmap is informed by what the Community is actually asking for, what the ambassadors are seeing in their own businesses, and what the pattern of feature requests is telling us. We listen. We do not dictate. When the Community is loud and consistent about something, we build it.

Believe it or not, we have a LOT in common!

The fact that you’re looking for something like SuiteDash tells me that we have had many of the same experiences. I know firsthand the challenges of running a business because I’ve been there, in the trenches, working 70-hour weeks, dealing with projects, clients, expenses, employees & all the ups & downs that go along with being a business owner!

Early in my career, I started, grew & managed a digital agency working with hundreds of clients. That success meant that the day-to-day tasks of the agency grew into a heavy load of managing client projects, updating clients, processing invoices, exchanging files, communication, outbound marketing, and much more.

Handling all of this proved to be an ever-evolving challenge, and I soon realized (after some pretty epic screw-ups) that clearly defined systems, processes, and automations were the only way to sustainably run a successful business without descending into chaos. That started me on an exciting journey of research and experimentation, working to build those systems, define those processes and maximize automation in a way that would allow me to continue to scale the business without giving up my dreams and passions OUTSIDE of work.

Despite my exhaustive search, there wasn’t any single software tool or combination of tools on the market that fit exactly what I was looking for. What I wanted was a simple, efficient, all-in-one solution that could streamline our workflows and impress our clients while ALWAYS keeping OUR brand in focus, the brand that we had worked so hard to build!

It didn’t exist, so we built it!

I was 100% convinced that my ideas were sound. I knew what my business needed, and I knew how to build software! So, I decided that we should design & build our own unified software that fit the vision we had in mind. After seeing the incredible benefits of using our early build-outs, we began to offer the software for sale as a product. That enterprise grew very quickly, but even though our revenue numbers told us we had a winner, we were also starting to see a bigger and more exciting vision!

So the profits from those early days were funneled directly back into the company to level up the team and improve the product. The goal was to build a world-class platform that would help small businesses access & afford the range of tools needed to create systems, automate processes and scale their businesses.

In the years that followed, we were able to grow from those humble roots into a multi-national team of experienced professionals dedicated to a shared Mission, building an award-winning “All-in-One Business Software” designed to liberate small business owners from the inefficiencies and barriers that prevent growth in their businesses & organizations.

So, I could tell you about all the incredible features we offer, but since that’s on our website, I’d rather ask you a question. What would you do if you could take 3 or 4 weeks off and have your business run without you? As for me, I love any kind of adventure travel. You would find me out backpacking, mountain biking, overlanding, camping, sailing, and more.

The picture above was taken after a 5-day offshore passage from Jamaica to Panama. We made landfall near the fabled San Blas (Guna Yala) islands, an incredibly beautiful archipelago I was lucky enough to spend several weeks exploring on an amazing 45′ Privilege catamaran. We had just sailed from the Bahamas, through the Windward Passage between Cuba & Haiti, and on this leg of our journey, we spent 6 weeks exploring Panama & Costa Rica. This all happened over a 3-month stretch back in 2007, and during that time, my businesses in the US were running mostly on auto-pilot while my wife & I experienced one of our greatest adventures!

Because I was focused on leveraging technology, systems & automation to streamline processes, I have been able to start, build & sell great businesses while still finding time for great adventures, all without losing ground in my career or suffering a financial setback!

I shared that story so that you understand my motivation! Just like you, I’m ambitious, but I don’t want to give up my dreams, my family, and my freedom in exchange for someone else’s definition of success. I want to be smart and find a way to have both success & a rewarding life without regrets! We call this #SuiteFreedom 😎

I’ve never been more fulfilled!

Yes, I’ve had success and adventure in life, but nothing has compared to the gratification and fulfillment that I’ve enjoyed as the Founder & CEO of SuiteDash. During this journey, I’ve had to work harder than ever before in my life, and that’s saying something. Yes, sometimes that means 70-80 hour weeks!

But the challenges are worth it because I’m able to focus on using my hard-won experience to help others by building the platform that I always wished I had, the platform of my dreams! A platform that helps business owners avoid the pain of setting up, learning, and paying for a mishmash of separate software tools. I find immense satisfaction in this work, and I’m doing my best to help each & every SuiteMate achieve their own version of #SuiteFreedom!

Yes, the workload is INTENSE, but along with my team, we manage it with the same systems, processes & automations that we recommend to you! The SuiteDash team is AMAZING, and I’m grateful to be working with a dedicated team of VERY smart people who also value the opportunity to build something that really matters, something that helps REAL people in the REAL world!

We sat across tables, shared meals, and became genuine colleagues. The Book: All-in-One Success

I did not write this book to make money. I wrote it because I have watched too many talented people put their skills and determination to work chasing someone else’s definition of success. There is a better way.

The argument is simple. Most people inherit a definition of success from their parents, their culture, or social media.
