08 Mar SuiteDash Development Update – All Tasks
Development Update For March 8, 2017
Our Team has been working day and night to bring the next batch of updates to our customers. In the last few updates, we have added several new functions related to Project Management, which we hope will help everyone be even more productive and efficient in their workflow. As always, we are also working to continuously improve and update the existing feature set, for both streamlining and bugfixing purposes.
The first big addition is the All Tasks menu, which (as the name implies) lets Admins and Project Managers see all of the tasks from all of their Projects in one location, without needing to drill down into a specific Project. Another new function is Private Hourly Rates, which is related to time tracking. Details can be found below, and we also have some updates regarding upcoming SuiteDash features, both in the long and short-term. More info below:
All Tasks
The biggest addition in the recent update is the new All Tasks menu. Available to Master Accounts, Admins, and Project Managers, the All Tasks menu allows these users to easily view all of the tasks related to their various Projects in one convenient location. This includes tasks assigned to themselves, as well as tasks inside their Projects that are assigned to other users. The All Tasks menu gives admins and managers a “bird’s-eye view” of all of their Projects, allowing them to easily track and manage individual tasks without needing to drill down into specific Projects. The All Tasks menu is live now for all customers, and is available for Master Accounts, Admins, and Project Managers to use.
Private Hourly Rates
Another new function in the latest round of updates is the addition of Private Hourly Rates. With this new functionality, you can set default Hourly Rates for each user, which relates to Timers. With a default Hourly Rate set for a user, that field is automatically filled-in when that particular user creates a new Timer. Additionally, you also have the option to set this default Hourly Rate as “private”. If set to private, that user will not be able to see what their Hourly Rate is set to, and it will be automatically filled-in and used in Timer calculations related to that user. This is useful for situations where you are billing a client for a certain amount, but you don’t necessarily want your employee (such as a Teammate or Freelancer) to be aware of that amount.
Short-Term Horizon
Right around the corner we have a new Dashboard layout, design, and functionality coming to SuiteDash. The new Dashboard will allow you to set “default” Dashboard layout options for each user role, as well as show/hide individual widgets for each user role. Additionally, we have integration between Quickbooks and SuiteDash invoicing live on our development environment for testing, and we hope to have it ready for production very soon.
This update, and several others, are coming soon, and we hope to be able to share more details in the coming weeks!
Over The Horizon
Looking further ahead, we are currently in the planning stages of a support ticket functionality, which will likely be the next evolution of the existing Work Request feature. We are also working to implement some large changes to file sharing and storage in the future as well.
We are working hard everyday to build SuiteDash into the perfect tool, and we can’t thank all of our customers enough for their feedback and support thus far. More updates coming soon!
Thanks,
Team SuiteDash
