Another day, another big update for SuiteDash! We have been working virtually non-stop to bring our customers more features since our last update, and we are continuing to deliver in our efforts to ever increase the value of your SuiteDash license. The common theme of the two new features in this update is all about having a bird’s-eye view of your business and projects. We feel that these new features will be incredibly useful, and they will allow our customers to stay on top of their company business. The first new feature is the Live Stream, which allows admins and managers to quickly view various actions in their installation. Secondly, we have also added a very useful Calendar function related to Projects and Tasks in Planning. More details for each below:

Live Stream

The first new feature in this update is the Live Stream. The Live Stream allows a user (such as an Admin, Project Manager, etc) to view everything that is happening in the installation that relates to them. If a user creates a new Contact, or edits a Company’s information, or schedules a new Action or Goal in CRM, the admin will see these actions as items as entries in their Live Stream. From there, they will be able to quickly see who is responsible for the action, and they can also easily click the entry to jump to the corresponding portion of the dashboard for more details. The Live Stream tracks actions from throughout the installation, from estimates and invoices in Billing, to tasks and projects in Planning, and more. The Live Stream is a very powerful tool for admins and managers to keep an eye on their team, “at a glance.” The Live Stream is available to all license levels right now!

Calendar

Second on the list of major additions with this update the Calendar. The Calendar allows user to see all of their assigned tasks (or all tasks from all of their projects, in the case of Admins and Managers), arranged by due date on an interactive Calendar. Clicking on a particular task allows the user to view details, and also edit the task fields. Additionally, drag-n-drop functionality allows the user to easily modify the due date of a particular task simply by dragging it to the new due date on the Calendar. Lastly, new tasks can be created and scheduled directly from the Calendar, simply by clicking in any blank space in the Calendar and filling out the corresponding dialog box that appears. Filters also exist, allowing users to only display tasks from certain projects, or only tasks with certain priority levels or tasks of certain types. Additionally, admins and managers have extra filter options that allows them to only see tasks assigned to specific users. The Calendar gives admins and managers a way to easily view and manage tasks in their projects, and it also gives other users the ability to quickly see what their workload looks like for the coming days and weeks. The Calendar is available inside the Planning menu for all license level holders!

Short-Term Horizon

Coming in the near future are several other exciting features, most notably Email Marketing functionality, which is entering the final stages of development and testing. This feature will allow users to create, schedule, send, and manage email campaigns and subscriber lists, right from inside your SuiteDash installation. We are working diligently to make this a powerful and useful tool, and we can’t wait to share it with our customers in the very near future!

Also on the docket is Work Requests, which will essentially act as “pre” Estimates and Invoices. Your clients will be able to submit Work Requests from inside their portal by filling out a form and selecting items (even attaching files that help illustrate their requests), and the Request is received by the admin on the backend. Once reviewed by the admin, the Work Request can then be converted into an Estimate or Invoice, and all of the info from the original Request is carried over and automatically filled in the appropriate fields. This feature is in active development, and we plan to have it ready for testing and release soon!

Over The Horizon

Further along in our road map, we have some large features coming for SuiteDash, one of which is “phase two” of our Branded Environments functionality, which is Custom URLs. This feature will allow our customers to completely rebrand the default “app.suitedash.com” URL, to a custom domain of their choosing. We are working to provide this functionality to our higher license level customers, and we hope to have an update for everyone on this front soon.
